VALUE OF FROZEN MEAT.

Mr Baker, Financial Secretary to the War Office, in reply to Mr Ginnell, said that the saving duo to using frozen instead of home-bred beef for four days in tho week in the Army in tho United Kingdom was £150,000 per annum. He was not aware that the opinion was prevalent in Ireland that the foot and mouth disease was maliciously introduced in Australia’s interests. WAR OFFICE TENDERS.
Tho War Office will invite tenders for May 25 for 37,500 twelve-ounce tins of beef and 62,500 twenty-four-ounce tins for delivery in September.
