ALPINE DISASTER.
THE LATE GUIDE RICHMOND. A resident of the Mackenzie Country, who is in Christchurch, states that he knew Guide Richmond, who is a native of the Mackenzie Country. His father lives at Burke’s Pass. The guide was a popular youim; man, and deep sympathy is expressed in the district with members of the family in their bereavement.
