BRITISH AND FRENCH AUTHORITIES. A PARTITION MOOTED. “ Times ” —Sydnoy “ Sun ” Special Cable*. (Received Februarv 26, 5.15 p.m.) LONDON, February 26. A Paris correspondent says that no negotiations have taken place between France and Britain for. the cession or partition of the New Hebrides. Owing to local difficulties connected with the supply of native labour for the French settlers a partition is mooted between the French and British authorities.
