NO FOUNDATION FOR AUSTRALIAN DISQUIET.

Sir Edward Grey, in reply to Dr W. A. Chappie, member for Stirlingshire, said there was no question of tho cession of tho Now Hebrides. There was, therefore, no foundation for the disquiet stated to exist in Australia. (Received February 26, 12.10 a.m.) LONDON, February 25.
In tho House of Commons Dr Chappie asked whether there was any foundation for disquiet amongst Australians regarding tho ftow Hebrides and whether in view of the growing dissatisfaction with tho Condominium the Foreign Secretary would state the nature and stage of communications with France.
. Sir Edward Grey replied that he could not make a fuller statement. He understood that the Commonwealth Government had communicated with the Colonial Office on the subject.
