LAWN TENNIS.
CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION. The Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association met last night, Mr A. Borrows presiding. The Avoaside Club’s offer of its courts for the Easter tournament was accepted with thanks. A vote of thanks was accorded to the United Club for the use'of its courts for the AA T ellmgton match. On the motion of Mr J. J, Longton, the question of including combined doubles in interprovincial tournaments with AVellington was referred to the Match Committee. Arising out of thq quarterly report of the Nerv Zealand Association, and a recommendation by AVellington that tbs secretary’s salary should bo raised, it was resolved that the secretary was already well paid, and that the Canterbury delegates should be instructed to vote against an increase. It was agreed to support the motion that where any clubs in a provincial district wished-to form an Association they should submit a proposal for a sub-Association to the Provincial Association.
