RECORDS ESTABLISHED.

MISS DURACK’S PERFORM- ' ANCES.

Miss Fanny Durack created astonishing swimming records at the Domain Baths yesterday evening. She did a mile in 26min Bsee, which is 42sec inside the men’s standard. She also lowered three world’s records, and beat Miss Vera Neave’s world’s record by 3min 46 l-ssec. Annette Kellerman’s best for this distance was 33min 21 3-sseo.

Miss Durack swam the crawl stroke throughout, swimming the first 220yds in 2min 59sec, equalling her own world’s record. She did, the 440yds in 6min 17soc, beating her own record of 6min 42sec; the 880yds in 12min 52sec, another world’s record; and the 1320yds in 19min 31sec, still another world’s record.

Miss Durack now holds every women’s world’s record from fifty yards to a mile.
