ASSOCIATION GAMES. THE LEAGUE COMPETITIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. LONDON, February 23. In the League football competition Tottenham beat Burnley by two goals to nil. AN EXTRA MATCH. SYDNEY, February 24. The Rugby Union proposes to ask the New Zealand team visiting Australia in the coming winter to be allowed to play an extra match in aid of the Olympic Fund. SYDENHAM CLUB. The Sydenham Football Club Committee held its final meeting for the year on Monday night, Mr Britten, club captain, presiding. The secretary produced a draft of the annual report and balance sheet, which was considered highly satisfactory, and passed for presentation to the annual meeting to be held next week. Matters in connection with the preparation of the club rooms for the coming season were discussed and duly arranged for. It was decided to write to the Dunedin club with reference to its visit to Christchurch for the coining Easter.
