There waa an entry of over 12,000 sheep at the fortnightly sale nb Amberley on Monday, with a good attendance of buyer?,, woo, however, owing to the dry weather and the temporary closing of ono of tho freezing factories, were not disposed to give, in many instances, the rates asked, and several large lines were withdrawn. Sales were effected at for merino ewes, 2s id to 2i 2ci for broken-moatbed, up to 6s 3:1 for heavy weights; cross-bred ewes, 11s Gd; four-tooth, 14s 8d; maiden, 13a Gd; cross-bred wether?, 12? There waa a largo entry at the Tinwald yards on Tuesday. About 10,000 abeep, 45 head of cattle and 4 pigs were yarded, Owiug, no doubt, to the teed having been dried up very much during the past week competition was not eo keen as it wss st the previous sale, and price? were somewhat lower—nearly 6i a, head nil round; The following are price? obtained :
