THE WANDERERS v. PHCENIX 0.0. This match, continued yesterday, resulted in a draw. After the tail end of the Christchurch team had increased their score to 41J, the Pbccnix batsmen went to the wickets, ana remained there during the rest of the day. Mr Spring hid on merrily ot the start, and Mr Vernon, his connection with the (Janabrook ones severed, loft his ilrluck also behind him, and played a fine free innings of (15. Mr Davenport showed the most oarofu and steady of cricket, while Messrs Haskell and Cross hit hard toward the finish, ihc former, however, was somewhat lucky,for no was missed rather easily three times. In justice to the Wanderors, it should be mentioned that they wore almost without recognised bowlers, as Mr Cotterill, the only trundler ot auy note included in their ranks, was unavoidably absent.
