I am induced to offer myself as a candidate for the office of Inspector of Sheep, now rendered vacant by the resignation of Sir W. Congreve. To many of you in the south I am known as having experience in Australia, as well as New Zealand, in all relating to the management oi sheep. To such as I am unknown to, I may mention that for years I was in the neighbourhood of flocks, in Australia, infected with the disease called ' scab,' and may well be supposed able to detect it. I have but to add that should you support my application to his Honor the Superintendent for the vacant office, in the event of my being elected, it shall be my anxious care to "do all that is required of one holding that responsible situation.
