: In this part ofthe European Continent, where the hot ashes of revolution are still smouldering, the two matters that coutinue to excite interest are, the dispute about the Caglian, and the Sardinian Conspiracy Bill. Lord Malmesbury, acting on the opinion ofthe law officers of England, has despatched a missive to the Neapolitan Government, demanding compensation for these deeply injured men. The indemnity is £4000. The King, it is said, evinces a disposition to negotiate. , „ ■ -. The 'Spectator' ofthe 15th May says, "A telegraphic despatch received at Turin, announces a despatch from Count Cavour,,received on the 4th, in which he declares that Sardinia accepts the propositions of Lord Malmesbury. A reconciliation is no longer doubtful."
