THE Provincial Government are prepared to receive tenders for carting 2,500 cubic yards of clay to the embankment in Sumner Valley. A specification of the work may be seen on application at the Government Offices, Christchurch. Tenders to be sent in on or before noon, on Saturday, May Bth, when parties tendering are requested to be in attendance. The Government will not be bound to accept the lowest or any tender. E. THE Provincial Government are prepared to receive tenders for sundry works to be done between Evans' Pass and Sumner Flat. Tenders to be sent addressed to the Provincial Engineer, Office of Public Works, Christchurch, on or before noon on Saturday, May Bth. TENDERS will be received at this Office until noon, on Saturday, tho 24th inst., for the supply of twenty cords of firewood. The wood* must be black pine, and cut in lengths of 2 feet, and delivered and stacked, 10 cords at the Government Provincial Buildings, and 10 cords at the Land Office, Christchurch. Tenders will be taken for the supply of either or both lots, and must state the time within which the wood will be delivered.
