WH-KREAS a Writ, under the hand of Thomas Gore Browne, Esquire, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the, Bath, Governor and Commander-in-chief in and "over the Colony of New Zealand, &c, &c, bearing date the fourteenth day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty-seven, hath been directed to me Belfield Woollcornbe, Esquire, as Returning Officer for the District of Timaru, requiring and commanding me to cause to be elected by the votersduly qualified for that purpose, freely and indifferently, and in manner and form by law prescribed, a legally qualified person to serve as a.
