RAKAIA.
The meeting of elector* on Monday, the 2nd instant, resulted in the election of Mr. Charles Church Haleswood, who was proposed by the hon. H. J. Tancred, Esq., seconded by Mr. Studholme, and declared elected without opposition. There were about twelve electors present. Mr. Tancred's speech was one of considerable interest; we hope to be able to publish it in a future issue.
