We have news from Sydney via Wellington to the 17th September. The papers have not come to hand, but by private advices we learn that at Sydney tea had risen to £9 a chest, and: sugars to £6 and £7 above previous quotations. Wheat and potatoes were lower. Fine flour is quoted on the 28th of August at £25, New Zealand wheat at 10s. to 10s. 6d. (no sales effected), and potatoes from £8 to £12.
