bession VIII, No. 8," the Superintendent has made the following arrangements and appointments for the- election of the. Superintendent and members of the Provincial Council. All claims to vote at the ensuing elections of the Superintendent or of a member of the Provincial Council must be sent in to one of the places hereinafter named before four o'clock on the twenty-eighth day of August nest : —
the reign of her Majesty Queen Victoria, entitled an " Act to grant a Representative Constitution to the colony of New Zealand," it was enacted that it should be lawful for the Governor by proclamation to constitute within each of the provinces by the said act established convenient electoral districts for the election of members for the Provincial Council and of the Superintendent ; and to appoint and declare the number of members to be elected for each;
