Tin: Maukets. —The price of flour, at Wellington, ' is steady,' says tiie ' Spectator' of the 23rd inst., ' with rather a upward tendency. Groceries.—lt is our duty, this week, to notice considerable alterations in the prices of groceries produced by the great advance that has taken place, in Sydney, not only through speculative transactions, but by the enhanced value at the places of production ; we refer principally to sugars. Tea has brought a higher figure, the trade having all but run out, and many orders having arrived from coast settlements waiting f<ir supplies to rpach us to !>e executed. Messrs. H. Smith, Sc Co. sold by auction on account of W. Hickson & Co., it large part of the cargo of the William Alfred. Great indisposition was exhibited to lay in stocks, in consequence of the determination of the importers not to sell at recent quotations.
