Election of Additional Member for the Provincial Council. Province of Nelson, New Zealand, to wit :— WHEREAS a writ under the hand of His Honor Edward William Stafford, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Neison, bearing date the 30th day of last July, has been directed to John Poynter, Esq., Resident Magistrate and Principal Returning Officer for the Province of Nelson, requiring and commanding him to cause to be elected by and from amongst the voters duly qualified for that purpose, freely and indifferently, and in manner and form prescribed by law, an additional member to serve in the Provincial Council for the District of Amuri; NOW therefore, I, Edward Jollie, Esq., Deputy Returning Officer for the said district, do hereby in pursuance of the said writ appoint Monday, the Bth day of October next, at Twelve o'Clock at noon, at my house, Mount Parnassus, for the nomination of a member for the said district. In the event of a Poll being demanded, I hereby further appoint Tuesday, the 9th day of October next, for the Polling. The Polling to take place at Mount Parnassus, and to commence at ten o'clock in the forenoon, and close at four o'clock in the afternoon of the same day.
