PHILLIP ASHTON (25 years RidingMaster to the Bengal Horse Artillery) informs the Public of Canterbury that, at the request of several influential gentlemen, he has established himself at Christchnrch as an agent for the purchase and sale of horses. Books are open for the registration of horses for sale, wherein the description, pedigree, capabilities, and price of eiich, will be given, for the benefit of intending purchasers. NOTICE is Hereby Given, that the country on both sides of the Bridle-path, extending from* -Mount Pleasant to the Dry Bush, is infected with Scab, and that measures have been taken to maintain a way for sheep driven into Lyttelton through! Sumner and Gollan's Bay during the continuance of the infection. All clean sheep landed in the harbor must be landed in Gollan's ?Bay, and driven up the country by way ,of Sumner.
