White & Co., will hold an auction on [Monday the 21sf insr, at their stores on Norwich Quay, Lyttelton, when it his their intention to offer a general assortment of goods, consisting of drapery, clothing, wines, spirits, &c. : further particulars of which will be given in a future advertisement. Also, a large variety of ready made clothing, consisting of— Worsted Cord, Tweed, moleskin and cord trousers Do., do. youth's trousers Waterproof coats and leather leggings Youth's waistcoats and caps Corduroy and Moleskins in the piece Felt hats, cloth, tweed, and leather caps in variety Merino and worsted undershirts, drawers, &c. Also, a large assortment of iron and hardware, consisting of— Copper tea kettles, camp ovens, and oval boilers Saucepans, potatoe steamers, frying pans, flat irons 1 ton rod iron, patent nails, Forster's spades and shovels Grafting tools, counter weighing machines, and weights Salter's balances, 561f0 weights, bellows, snuffers, &c. Also, the largest assortment of Stationery ever imported into the Canterbury Settlement. Wrapping paper of all descriptions Foolscap do. do. Writing and note do. Envelopes, all sizes . Pens and Pencils in variety Inks, wafers, black and red sealing wax, india rubber . Plates, copy-books, &c. Ledgers, day-books, and memorandums in givat variety And a variety of other goods too numerous to particularise. And to arrive per " Cornubia.'' Port and Sherry in cask and case Champagne and Claret Buttie'd stout, Marzetti's double diamond ale Pickles, salad oils, Worcestershire sauce Herrings in tin, potted bloaters and anchovies Vermicelli, maccaroni and isinglass Muscatels and pudding raisins, shell almonds Currants in tins, superior sperm and compo candles Superior Congou and Souchong Tea And a large assortment of Stationery, consisting of— School and other books in endless variety.
