Opening of the Hew Wesleyan Chapel, Lyttelton. QN SUNDAY, March 4th, the above Chapel will be opened for the Public Worship of God. Divine Service will commence in the morning at 11 o'clock, and in the evening at half-past 6. A collection will be 1 made after each service. LYTTELTON and PORT VICTORIA HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY. IT is proposed to establish at Lyttelton a Society for the encouragement of Horticulture and Floriculture. Persons desirous of becoming members are invited to send their names to the Hon. Secretary. Should tbe means of the Society permit, it is intended tohave, during the,summer 1855-56, three Fruit, Flower, and Vegetable Shows, on days to be appointed according to the forwardness of the season. PROFESSOR JONES, Lately arrived from Hobart-town in the " William Hyde," WISHES to inform the inhabitants of Lyttelton aud its neighbourhood, that it is his intention to give an Entertainment at the Town Hall, This Evening, Wednesday, the 28tb inst. Doors will be opened at half-past 7; performance to commence at a quarter-past 8. Act I. will consist of a variety of Acrobat Fetes. Act IL, the an of Neat Balancing. Act 111., the Virginia Cocoa Nut Song and Dance : the Comic Song in character. Tickets for a lady or gentleman, 2s. 6d.; admission for children, Is. Tickets may be had at the Mitre and Canterbury Hotels, at the Robin Hood Tavern, and the Universal Inn, Lyttelton The Canterbury Joint Stock, Loan, Investment, and Discount Society. THE above Society having issued a further amount ol* Snares, the Committee beg to state that there area few shares undisposed of, which, by the Deed of Settlement, are now open to the public, aud can be obtained on application to S.
