WHEREAS Complaints have been made that unlicensed persons have of late been in the habit of selling spirituous liquors, wine, ale, and beer in less quantity than two gallons, Notice is Hereby Given that all persons offending against the following clause of-the Licensing Amendment Ordinance, Sess. XI., No, 16, will be prosecuted with the utmost rigour of the law. " If any person, not being duly licensed, shall sell any quantity less than two gallons of any spirituous liquors, wine, ale, or beer, lohether the said quantity of two gallons shall be composed of the same liquor, or of a variety of liquor ; or shall permit the same to be sold by any person in or upon his house or premises; or shall permit to be removed from his premises for the purposes of sale, any quantity less than two gallons of one liquor at any one time, he shall forfeit and pay for every such offence, the sum of Fifty Pounds, to be recovered in a summary way."
