JAMES SWINBOURNE has received instructions to Sell by Public Auction, on Saturday, [this day,] July Bth, at the Royal Hotel, Chnstclmvch, about 400 ACCLIMATED EWES & LAMBS, Together with the Station of 5,000 acres,' situate on the river Selwyn, about 20 miles from Christchurch. A loaded cart can be taken to the Station; and there is plenty of wood and water. There is a Pre-emptive right of Purchase on 250 acres; and also a shepherd's hut on the Station. This is one of the fine golden opportunities which really occur in a new settlement for the small capitalist. The Wool next clip will realise sufficient to pay the expences of the Station for the season, which will save any further outlay for the first six months beyond the purchase. The fortunate purchaser of this Slock and Station in a few years will be able to say, that " There is a tide in the affairs of men, "Which, if takeu at the flood, leads on to fortune!"
