"VTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that -L-^ the next General Meeting of the Society of Land Purchasers will be held at the Land Office, Christchurch, on Thursday the Ist January, 1852, at 1 p.m., when a new President and Council will be elected, in accordance with, the 7th rule. Candidates for a seat in the new Council are requested to send in their names to me on or before Wednesday the: 17th inst., that being the latest day upon which- th& names of Candidates may be published. •■ — - -■ The attention of members is particularly called to the'Bth rule, by which it is required that all: voting papers must be signed and witnessed. NOTICE is hereby given, that on Tuesday, the 6th of January next, 1852, a PUBLIC AUCTION will be held in Lyttelton, for the sale of TOWN LANDS in Lyttelton and Christchurch. a _ Parties desirotisof purchasing any particular section, may have the same included in the list of those for sale, by making application in writing to that effect, at the offices of the Association, either at Lyttelton or Christchurch, on or before the 24th December next. To give effect to such application it will be necessary to deposit the upset price of each section, viz. 241., for the half acre section in the capital, and 12/. the quarter acre section in the PortTo\vn,atthe Union Bank, Lyttelton, to the credit of the Canterbury Association, on or before the same day. IN consequence of some Persons having feloniously killed some of the Cattle of Mrs. Sinclair, of Craigforth, Pigeon Bay, she is under the necessity of giving Notice, that all persons trespassing upon her Cattle Bun, which extends round the heads of Pigeon Bay and Port Albeit to the Maori Beserve in the latter place, will be prosecuted. ~~ notlll DEPREDATIONS having been committed on Biccarton Farm by persons who have come upon the land upon various pretences, notice is hereby given that after this date, all parties found on these grounds without permission from the proprietor, will be prosecuted, and the most rigorous proceedings will be taken against those who are found with any of the stolen property on their persons.
