Saturday, March 21st, 1885. The Kevd. Mr Slade will preach his farewell sermons in the Wesleyan Church, tomorrow. Messrs Murdoch and Rose, of Wellington are the successful tenderers for the erection of the Exhibition building there. The Annual Exhibition of the Auckland Society of Arts is to open on the 15th ultimo. Bishops Bedwood, Morgan, and Luck, and Kevd. Eather Walter Mc Donaid are at present at the Hot Lakes. The master of the barque Beatrice Haverner is claiming compensation from the Auckland Harbour Board for damage which he alleged was caused to one of his vessels by a dredge running into her on Saturday last. The following tenders were opened at noon to-day, by Eitz-gibbon Louch, C. E., for additions to a house on the Canieron Koad— Blake, Borrie & Co, £237, David Lundon, £220, James J. Bennett, £207. The last named tender is aceepted.
