This Day. Nothing has transpired tothrow any light on the discovery of human Srkulls and bones, that were found at the back of the Fitzory Hotel. The police are still investigating the inatter. A lunatic nanied .Tohn Gibbons escaped from the Asylum, yesterday, and has not vet been eriptured. The mail steamer Zealandia left ' Erisco for Auckland, with the English and American mails on the 15th inst., and is expected to arriv^ at Auckland on or about the 4th of April. The Auckland Tramway Company carried 3,500 passeugers on St Patrick's daj^, and not one single accident happened although large stones were found on the rails, supposed to have been deliberately placed there. ¥m. Sheehan was yesterday tried at the police court, for the Castletownroche murder, the proceedings occupied the whole day, and during the reading of the depositions prisoner displayed some emotion, and his wife fainted in court when the details of the discovery of the bodies was narrated. Sheehan was committed to take his trial, and will journev back to Ireland in company with the police on or about the 12th instant.
