WELLINGTON,
This Day. Sergt. McG-overon of the A. 0. has been promoted to Sergeant - Maj or , and third-class Sergt. (xibbs to first-class Sergeant, for services rendered in capturing the murderer Winiata, some time ago. Sergt Denny of the Koyal Uish Constabulary, arrived by the Rimutaka yesterday, with the warrant for apprehension of W^illiam Sheehan who is now in custody in Auckland on a charge of murder.
