Sir, — In the Bay of Plenty Times of tliis morning, under the heading"Kati~ kati items," Captain McMillan is reported to have said at a meeting of Batepayers held on the 10th instant t'hat "Hitherto it was impossible to receive answers to letters from Tauranga hy return of post, as the Katikati letters only reached there at 10 p.m. and left at 5 the next morning." This statementis incorrect, and calculated to mislead the puhlic. The Katikati mail is never later than 8 p.m. Kindly give insertion to this and oblige. Yours &c..
