The one great drawback to Paeroa is its leasehold tenure, not one freehold being obtainable, eonsequently a lack of improyement is visible in public and private building. On the motion of Messrs Edwin Edwards and H. C. Wieli the Public Library Committee presented Mr Liitchie, the Librarian, with an honorarium of £5 for his services during the past year.
