LONDON, Decemher 17. An inspeetion of London Bridge at low water reyealed 13 clockwork machines on one abuttment, thus confirming the belief that the recent explosion was caused by dynamite.
It is rumoured that an International control will be established over Egypt. It is expected that Lord Granville will protest against the agreement of America to eonstruct the Nicaragua Canal, as being opposed to the terms of the treaty of 1850, whereby England and France agreed to establish a joint protectorate over any canal, or railway across the Isthmus. Decemher 18. Despatoh from Lord Wolsey states that his troops are in excellent health and fit for any trial of strength which they may meet. The boats sent for transport of the British expedition up the Nile have fulfilled all expectations.
