The metal of the Moscow bell is vaiued at £70,000. The present weekly circulation of the "Auckland Star" is 60,000. The W hakatane Baces are to be held on January 19th, when a good programme is to be gone through. Persons requiring Ohristmas Presents would do well to inspect T. W. A conversazione in connection with the Tauranga Mutual Improvement Association, is to take place in the Good Templars Hall, on Wednesday, the 17th Instant. Mr B. Bhodes, Boot-maker, has removed to Spring-street, oppcsite the Star Hotel. An Entertainment by the District School Children will take place in the Temperance Hall, on Friday, 19th Inst and as the proceeds are to be devoted to giving the Children a treat, we hope to see a bumper house.
