THE LITTLE UN.
Mulium in parvo.
Friday, December 5th, 1884. Our object in starting the Lixtle Uk is to supply a felt want, viz:- an inde- ; pendant Journal bound to no party, or ! clique, in which freely to discuss mat- j ters of public interest; it will he onr | earnest endeavour to aim towards this ohject. The interests of Tauranga require to he watched with eare, and to he brought prominently before the public; notwithstanding the many advantages with which nature has endowed our district — its genial climate, fruitful soil, excellent harbour, &c., it has not advanced as rapidly as it shonld. It is also a well-known fact that it has not reeeived that amount of attention it should, from the Powers-that-be. We will endeavour to do what we can to alter this state of affairs. We are of opinion that a great amount of good can he done by bringing our resources prominently before the public. With these few remarks we launch our little barque before the public.
