GOLF.

THE OTAKI CLUB. Indications for a successful season were apparent at the annual meeting of tho Otaki Golf Club which was held last Monday when nine new members were elected. . Since last season a large amount of work has been done on the links which have never been in better order. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: — President, Mr, W, M. Simcox; clubcaptain, Dr. D. S. Milne; hon. secretary, Mr. ,'K. M. Thomson; hon. treasurer, Mr. F. S. Simcox; committee, Messrs C. F. Atmore, J. B. D’Ath, E. S. Morse, E. P. Simcox, and W. .H. Wills; handicappcr, Mr. J. B. D’Ath; hon. auditor, Mr. J. P. Brandon. The following were elected as members of the dub: —Mr., Mrs. and Miss Smallbone, Misses Charlesworth and M. Wilmot, Messrs W. S. Park (Levin), A. M. Dunklcy (Wellington), D. H. Long and W. Blackburn. The official opening day will be . the 14th April, but it is expected that the links will be available for play to members and visitors through the Easter holidays. Its appreciation of services rendered throughout the last year was extended by the club to Mr. -I. P. Brandon (.auditor), Mr. W. H. Wills (for use of Native College) and Mr. F. S'. Simcox (treasurer). r
