M.P. AND MINISTER.
(By Telegraph —Press Association). DANNEVJRKE, This Day. Mr E. A. Ransom, M.P., in a further reply to the Minister of Lands respecting the former’s proposal of loans to fanners to engage unemployed, quotes the reply of the Hon. W. Downie Stewart to'Mr Ransom’s question in the House and alleges that Mr McLeod, in conversation, agreed therewith, thus establishing Mr Ransom’s argument that his proposal was inclined to be too popular. Me challenges the Minister to meet him on the public platform anywhere provided he gives him a week’s notice.
