The Premier arrived at Christchurchfrom Greymouth yesterday. He received a number of deputations this morning and leaves to-morrow on an inspoc-' tion of the irrigation works in Central Otago.—Press Association. Mr T. Rodgers, of Rangitikoi Line, Palmerston North, who was 88 years of age yesterday, has the distinction-:. <>£' being the first white child born in the province of Wellington. He is still. hdla. and hearty and enjoys good health. y
