A NOTABLE GATHERING. (By Telegraph —Press Association). PALMERSTON N., This Day. For the first occasion on which the event has been held outside the four centres the Rotary Clubs of New Zealand met ip annual conference at Palmerston North- to-day. The fixtdre, which will, extend over four days, has brought many notable visitors including Rotarians from Australia and Honolulu. This morning the delegates and their wives, numbering 300, vrere welcomed by the Palmerston North Rotary Club. The proceedings will be officially opened by the Hon. J. A. Young this evening, and a civic reception will be accorded the visitors at the Awa■puni racecourse when the principal speakers will be the Mayor and Mr J. A. Nash, M.P. ■
