Betty Sbmpson plays the most intriguing rdle of her career vvhen she vaiuj)B: Kpßijeth Harlan, and she alone is responsible for the much-tangled affair which makes this, picture so exceedingly interesting from the opening title to the final fade-out. Romance, comedy and thrills galore make up one of the greatest combinations ever introduced in a crook production. “ Cheating Cheaters’ ’ is adapted frony the famous stage play of the same name. On Wednesday, Lon Chaney in “The Road to Mandalay,” with Lois Moran, Owen Moore, and Henry B. Walthall, will be screened. This is a mammoth picture —Chaney as the fate-smitten keeper of a Shanghai boarding house, Moore as the luckless ship’s officer, Lois Moran as the girl they revered and strove to shield from tho mystic influences of the Orient. It is a magnificent drama.
