Owing to having tfi defend th¥ Dixon Cup on their own green, the Shannon Club was unable to wwl a rink to Levin yesterday iis arranged.
A very pleasant afternoon was spoilt <;n the Levin green yesterday, there being quite a good turn-out of players, whilst a number of ladies occupied the •croquet lawn. In the contest for the Kirk Kerns. Porteons's rink beat Pollock's bv 20 to 14.
Po.rtemis was again successful in the match for the Bowen Stars, Porteons and Broughtou defeating Pyke anil Harris by 11 to 10.
