Steamer Aground.
6 IN WELLINGTON HARBOUR Wellington. December '10. The New Zealand and African Oo.'s steamer, Dotfset, from London, vsiaSydney and Auckland, went aground off AVard Island about 8 p.m. to-day while coming up the harbour. The Union Company's tug Terawfliiti and the Defence steamer Janie SecMon, and the Harbour steamer Pelican made an effort to tow her off, but hs the tide was falling they were unable to move her. Another attempt will be made at 9 to-night. The steamer went aslioore during a heavy southerly squall.
