Spanish Influenza.
THE BACIIAU.S IDENTIFIED. RELATED TO THE PLAGUE. [ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH —COPYRIGHT.]' (Per Press Association). Received this day. 12.12 p.m. Capetown, December 2. Dr. Edington. Medical Superintendent of Grey's Hospital, has contributed an article to a Maritzburg paper dealing with the so-called Spanish influenza. He claims to have succeeded in isolating the strepto-bacillus, which is genetically related, to the plague, but nevertheless is no new species; also that that it is similar to bubonic plague. This bacillus found it* host in rats, fleas, andi other vermin.
