Levin Bowling Club
The annual meeting of the iLevin Bowling Ohtb was held in the 'Schoolhouse on Monday evening. Mr E. S. Lancaster occupied the chair and tih-ere wore twelve members present. Owing to the illness of the secretary, Mr J. Mdin tyre, the balance-sheet and report were held over for the present. Tlie election of officers irasulted as follows: President, .Mr J. Mc'lntyie; vice-president, iMr N: Holdaway; Ihion. secretary and-treasurer, Mr T. Hobson; dielegatc to the Manawatu Oentre, held over; match and tournament committee, Messrs Pollock, Hoe and Pyke; green committee.' Messrs Chamiing)?, Hall and Bull ; caretaker, Mr W. Bro- ] ughton. The distribution of trophies won last season was arranged to take place on the opening day. It was decided to open the season on Labour Bay and that tlhie subscription be the same as last reason. Reference was mad© to It he work of Mr (Moliityrp as hon. secretary, a very hearty to to of - thanks was tendered to him for his past iservices to the Olub. The secretary was directed, to write to Mr Mclntyre conveying tihe Club's sympathy in his present illness and wishing him a speedy recovery. A good muster of players was present and a very enjoyable outing was the result.
