The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report: At Levin on Tuesday a good yarding of sh,eep and a small entry of cattle was penned. Bidding for sheep was spirited and all lines were sold undier tlie hammer. Quotations: Medium fat ewes and wethers, 31s 2d ; "mixed sheep, 21s 3d to 22s 7d; aged ewes and lambs, 245; shorn hoggets (good), 255; woolly hoggets (good) 255; medium woolly hoggets, 21s; small hoggets, 15s to 15s 8d; vealer, £5 3s; springing heifers, £9 15s to £10.
We conducted clearing' sale on account of Mr F. D. B. Ward, at tlie farm, Krmberl.ey road, Levin, on Saturday, the 24th inst. There was a large attendance of buyers. The herd consisted of mostly Jersey cross cows and met with iieen competition, the results proving l most- satisfactory to vendor.
