Enemy Guns Busy.

MINOR BRITISH OPERATION. Received this day, 11.1U a.m. London, August 14. Sir Douglas Haig reports : Hostile artillery -was active during tlie night along tlic battlefront, but there was 110 infantry action. We repulsed local attacks in the Dickebuseh (Plunders) sector at midday on Tuesday. There was considerable hostile artilleryjing in this neighbourhood at night, also northwest of Kemmel. We made a successful raid in the neighbourhood of Ayette. Our patrols progressed in the Vieux Berquin sector and established our line eastward of the village, prisonering a number. Our line was advanced slightly eastward of Meteren (Flanders).
