How Nicholas Died.
A SAD AND SOB-BY -END. Received this day, 10.15 a.;m. Amsterdam, July 31. The Berlin Lokal Anzeiger learns from a. highly placed Ilus sian authority particulars of the C>.ar's last moments. Nicholas was awakened at five in the morn ing by a patrol consisting of & non commissioned officer and five men. He was told to dress and was taken to a room where the Red Giiards' decision was commu nicated. He was then allowed two hours to prepare for the end. He rece'ived the tidings with great calmness and returned to his bedroom and sank into a chair. Then lie naked for a priest who was allowed to remain with him unattended. The Czar wrote sev eral letters. The escort came at nine' to'take him to the place of execution. He once fell to the ground and aa lie was unable to do so and a soldier helped him downstairs. The Czar once fel to the ground and as he was lunable td-"st«nd without sup port he was put ngianst a post. He raised his hands' and appeared to be about to speak when the rifles rang, out and Nicholas fell dead.
