Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report : We held a most .successful sale of pedigree Holstein cattle on account of Mr S. J. Sievers on Thursday' last. The two imported cows, Mutual Maggie of llock and De Kol Gem Lady Rival, realised respectively 109 and 91 guineas, and the other four cows catalog ued made 25, 34, 39 and 71 gns, and the yearling bulls 14, 19 and 20 gns. "The dairy herd of Short horn and Jersey grade cows were sold at prices ranging from £10, £12 10s, £13, £15, £17 10s and £21 to as high as £24. At Levin on Tuesday last we yarded a large entry of sheep and a small one of cattle. Bidding was not animated except for good lines of well forward sheep. We also offered on behalf of Mr J. I S. Easton, the Te Rauawa pure bred flock of Romnew ewes recent ly taken over from Mr J. Kebbell. The flock comprised 22 2 tooth ewes, 13 4 tooths, 36 6_ tooths, 7i 4 and 5 year olds, 148 in all, and were distributed between Mr W\ It. McLeod (Takapau, H. 8.), Mr A. L. Wheeler (Hunterville), Mrs H. Hannan (Levin) a.nd Mr A.J. Rutlierfurd (Alfredton). _ The prices ranged from 5 to 10 guineas and the whole flock of 148 aver aged 6gns per head. , , Other quotations at luesday s Sale were as follows: Fat wethers, 38s Gd; light fat ewes, 28s 3d; forward ewes, 245; medium hog gets, 18s 9d;' cull hoggets, 10s 12s; a nice line of well bred Rom ney ewes in lamb, 39s 7d; store cows, £4 12s 6d, £5.
