War Anniversary.

A ceremony of more than ordi nary interest will mark tli© war anniversary celebrations in Levin on Monday next, wlien the Mili tary Medal won by the late Pri vate Sciascia, a--nephew of Mr Tuiti Macdonald, will be presented to his mother at the public meet ing to be held in the Century Hall. Levin is to be honoured for the occasion by the presence of two Cabinet Ministers (Hon. W. H. Herries and Hon. Dr Pomaire) both of whom have been piximin ently connected in Cabinet with the Native race. An effort is also being made to secure the presence of Sir James Carroll, while Mr W. H. Field, M.P., and the Hon. Heheu Tukino, a member of the Upper House and a high chief, will also be present. His Worship the Mayor will preside.
