German Tailors
TAILORS' UNION PROTESTS. The matter of Germans on Somes Island being allowed to make costumea for people in' Wellington was referred to at a meeting of the Wellington Tailors' Union this week. Strong objection was taken to the fact {hat German tailors had been allowed to compete with tailors in town in this way, and that meeting regarded it as tantamount to trading with the enemy.
After some discussion the meeting unanimously passed the following resolution: —"That this meeting of the Wellington Tailors' Union protests aaginst. the action of the Minister in Charge of Somes Island in allowing interned German tailors to complete with the employers in Wellington.
