Wellington, April 20. The N.Z. Farmers' Distributing Co., Ltd., report: Potaotes from the North Island have not been so plentiful during the week although Southern are coining forward in good supply and where good have been sold at satifactory prices. The oat market is still unsettled and Algerians especially are bringing big prices. Gartons are slightly easier. Maize is in rather short supply owing principally to shortage in shipping and prices have hardened slightly. The ryegrass market is now fairly stationary owing to the North Island demand being practically over. Cocksfoot is very high in price with short supplies. Pig meals of all descriptions are still m short supply and where procurable satisfactory rates have been realised. Poultry is now coming forward in large quantities, but owing to poor quality values have been low. Fowl wheat is in fair demand selling at satisfactory prices. Pork has been delivered in large quantities during the past week and values have been most satisfactory. Lggs are now exceptionally scarce a-nu the prices ruling are high and likely to advance further. Honey is still in short supply and good quotations are offering for first quality. Cabbages are still m good supply and satisfactory figures are being realised.' Cauliflowers are offering fairly freely and where good rates are satisfactory. Oarrots have been coming forward m larger quantities and prices lia\ e slackened slightly. New Zealand onions are still coming forwaru in good quantities aad are realising satisfactory values. vVliite turnips are still realising satis- j factory figures, the supply o± same at present not being overplentiful. Parsnips have been more plentiful during the week and prices are slightly easiei. Lettuce are in good supply and rates realised have been satisfactory. French beans are now very short in supply and real jjS" ures are being realised. Beetroot has been coming forvvanl dui g the week fairly plentifully and nrices- have slackened slightly. Erows are still in good supply and selling at satisfactory quotations. Swedes are still and selling at fair prices, lomatoes are still in good supply and selling at very satisfactoiy rates.
