Raetihi Fire Relief.
We are pleased to learn that the Mayor of Levin has taken steps to invite subscriptions on behalf of the sufferers by the recent fires in the King Country, an appeal that is sure to meet with a hearty response. Those wishing to make a contribution will find lists at the Borough Office, the Banks of Australasia and New Zealand, Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., Dalgety's, Ltd., , and the "Chronicle" office. Already a generous and stimulating donation lias been made to tlie fund by Mr John Kebbell, of Ohau, who has sent the Mayor the sum of £20 for the relief of the sufferers. £ s d John Kebbell 20 0 0 C.
