Red Cross Shop.

acknowledgment ahs APPEAL.

Mesdamea Tickers and Cork were in charge of the Red Cross Shop on Saturday and did good business, resulting in the sum of £8 6s 2d being added to the funds. The beautifully iced cake won by Mr Kay at the A. and P. Show and kindly given back for the benefit of the funds was again competed for, Master Norman Yickers being the lucky winner. The Committee desires to thank th® public of Levin and district for the splendid support accorded th'em ever since the shop was opened nearly two yetirs ago and it is hoped this will be continued for the need is still great and the smallest contribution helps wonderfully. Home made cakps and sweeps are continually asked for: in fact the supply is never equal to the demand. Will all friends and sympathisers kindly remember this and send along a. cake or parcel of sweets wherever possible ? The following sent saleable gifts on Saturday: Mesdames J. Prouse, Wright, Pyke, Keys, liyder, Cork, Oag, Vicker 6 , Tiilly, Bull, Duckworth, Kirk, Suhan, Goldsmith, Stansell, S. Hall, Keedwell, Iloldaway, Bagrie« A. Murray, J. Mackenzie, G. P. Brown, Anderson. Barron, F. O. Smith, Lancaster, Gorringe, Frechling, Heslop, S. Mackenzie, Gardener, J. Brown, J. Stevenson, Whitaker, Cockayne, and Thompson, Misses Adkin, B. Stewart, McKegg, Stewart, Sedcole, O'Donnell, Messrs Barnett, P. Stewart, Kay, Marryat, Ingram and tfte Training Farm.
